  1. Pre heat oven to 170oC
  2. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl then add the rest of the ingredients
  3. Whisk together until all combined
  4. Grease two 20cm cake tins and cut grease proof paper in the bottom (I draw round the tins and cut out the circle of paper). Put half of the mixture in each. Use scales to make sure the cakes are even weight
  5. Cook for 30mins. Leave to cool for 1 min then turn out into wire rack to cool
  6. When cool, spread jam on one half and put together in a sandwich. Sprinkle icing sugar on top

Then, add eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla and stir the wet and dry ingredients together until they're thoroughly combined. Next, pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan and spread it out evenly with a spatula. A thin sheet of chocolate sponge cake is spread with whipped cream, rolled together, then drenched in a chocolate ganache glaze.
