  7. Prepare 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  8. Get Oil for frying
  9. Prepare 1 bit of water

Add the rice vermicelli, flowering cabbage and seasoning ingredients. Add the chives, bean sprouts and fried beancurd and stir-fry to mix well. Bihun or the Javanese call as Mihun is also known as rice vermicelli, rice noodles, or rice sticks. It just reminded me of buying bihun goreng or bihun kuah from street food hawkers/vendors in Indonesia.

Steps to make Bihun Goreng / Stir Fried Rice Vermicelli:
  1. Put the oil in a pan. Heat it.
  2. Add in the garlics. Stir until fragrant.
  3. Add in the eggs. Make a scramble.
  4. Then add in the meat balls, stir until soft.
  5. Add in the carrots. Cook until soft too.
  6. Add in the vermicelli. Stir everything.
  7. Then add in the seasonings. Taste test.
  8. Add a bit of water, mix evenly. Cook until the water evaporates.
  9. Serve.

Bihun or the Javanese call as Mihun is also known as rice vermicelli, rice noodles, or rice sticks. It just reminded me of buying bihun goreng or bihun kuah from street food hawkers/vendors in Indonesia. In Jakarta and West Java areas, they usually have bihun goreng with pouring peanut sauce over before they eat. Bihun is fried rice vermicelli with meat and vegetables. It is very much a home cooked dish in Japan, not something you can get at restaurants.
