  17. Once the sugar starts to melt and become a light amber color and melted, add your butter all in one go. Be careful, it will bubble up with all the heat.
  18. Drizzle the cream in while stirring.
  19. Turn off heat and pour it out into a heat resistant jar to cool down.

The icing should be thin enough to easily drizzle over rolls with a spoon. If too thin whisk in additional powdered sugar. Drizzle warm caramel icing over rolls and additional salted caramel sauce is desired. Sprinkle the raisins over the sauce evenly. Cover with a tea towel and allow to prove in a warm spot for about an hour.
