  8. Take 4 cup granulated sugar

Steps to make Traditional Eggnog:
  1. combine egg yolks and sugar untill smooth
  2. add milk, cream, vanilla, bourbon, cinnamon, and nutmeg
  3. beat egg whites with 3 tablespoons of sugar, until soft peaks. combine with the rest of the mix.
  4. serve chilled, garnish with cinnamon

But I did away with those raw egg whites. And to make up for the loss of body to the drink, I whipped some cream until softly firm and then whisked it into the eggnog.
