Bubbling hot, served with a fresh pot of ginger tea, its a match made in culinary heaven and of course served with Cilantro-Dhaniya Chutney or Sweet-Spicy Mango Chutney. Flaky and tender fried samosa are one of the most popular recipes in North Indian cuisine.

Punjabi Samosa is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It is appreciated by millions daily. It is simple, it is fast, it tastes yummy. Punjabi Samosa is something that I’ve loved my whole life. They are fine and they look wonderful.

The ingredients needed to make Punjabi Samosa:
  1. Take For Covering
  2. Take 1 cup Maida
  3. Prepare 1 teaspoon carom seeds
  4. Take 2 tablespoons ghee

  9. Prepare 1/2 cup peas

  15. Get as per taste Salt
  16. Prepare 2 tablespoons kismis (raisins)
  17. Make ready 1 pinch hing
  18. Prepare For Masala
  19. Take 1 tablespoon coriander seeds
  20. Prepare 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  21. Make ready 1/2 tablespoon Cumin seeds
  22. Get as required Oil for frying

I think they are universally loved and hard to resist. And I think these homemade punjabi samosas can give any store bought samosa a run for its money. In fact, some store bought samosas get it so wrong that it's unbelievable - the stuffing is not appetizing enough, or the pastry is not fried properly. Because making good samosas is an art and needs time and patience, so I don't have any.

Instructions to make Punjabi Samosa:
  1. For covering take flour, crush carom seeds with your hand add ghee and mix nicely, now make a tight dough with cold water keep aside for 30 mins.
  2. In a pan roast all the ingredients under the masala section and crush with mortar and pestle.
  3. Boil potatoes.
  4. For the filling, In a Kadai, heat oil add ginger, green chilies, let them fry.
  5. Now add crushed masala, turmeric powder and give a nice stir.
  6. Add raisins, potatoes and peas add salt to taste and mix nicely cover and cook for 5 mins on low flame.
  7. Once the filling is ready let it cool down completely.
  8. Now divide flour into small portions. Take one portion and roll repeat for the remaining portions.
  9. Cut the circle in half
  10. Make a cone and seal sides with water, fold the extra covering fill filling and seal the edges, repeat for rest of portions let samosa sit for 5-10 mins before frying
  11. In a Kadai heat oil for frying till medium hot, put samosa in batches, and fry on low medium flame till done.
  12. Serve Punjabi crispy Samosa with Imli chutney

In fact, some store bought samosas get it so wrong that it's unbelievable - the stuffing is not appetizing enough, or the pastry is not fried properly. Because making good samosas is an art and needs time and patience, so I don't have any. Press the bottom of the samosa gentle on the palm to give it a firm seat which will make the samosa stand. Cook the Samosa - Air Fry / Bake / Air Fryer Lid / Crisper Lid. Coat the samosa with oil generously.
