  4. Layer the dough on the top of each other brushing every layer with olive oil. Squeeze all the liquid from the apples using your hand. Before you put the apple filling on the dough, sprinkle some semolina or grounded whole nut on the pastry so it can soak up the liquid from the apple. Roll the pastry and brush the outside with olive oil.
  5. Bake them for about 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. When it's ready and still hot brush the outside with some sugar water. Serve it with icing sugar.
